The security deposit is specific to the apartment and is intended as security for the condition of the property, the rent and other payments associated with the tenancy.
The security deposit will be returned to the tenant after the termination of the tenancy agreement. The deposit will be returned provided that all the keys to the apartment have been returned, the apartment is in good condition and cleaned and the rent and any other payments have been paid.
The security deposit is determined by the size of the apartment in the following way:
|1 room + kitchen||400 €|
|2 rooms + kitchen||500 €|
|3 rooms + kitchen||600 €|
|4 rooms + kitchen||750 €|
|5–6 rooms + kitchen||950 €|
Poor credit ratings may change the security deposit sum. The exact sum will be included in the housing offer sent to the applicant.
The tenancy agreement is signed in VAV Asunnot Oy’s offices when the applicant has approved the offer of housing made. The agreement must also be signed by any spouse/partner or other person of equal status as the tenant in the application, either in person, or with a written mandate (aka power of attorney) from said person certified as being correct. A receipt for the security deposit must be provided in conjunction with signing the agreement. Please be prepared to provide proof of identity.
More detailed instructions on payment of the security deposit and signing the tenancy agreement will be given in writing with the offer of housing.
Temporary surrender of the property to another person without the permission of VAV Asunnot Oy is prohibited.
