Connecting dishwashers and washing machines
The water pipes and connections for dishwashers and washing machines are the responsibility of the tenant and they must be connected in accordance with existing instructions and regulations.
To avoid damage, this work should be done by an expert. The insurance will not pay out for leaks due to incorrectly plumbed in dishwashers or washing machines or the damage caused by them.
- Always turn off the tap when the washing machine is not in use. Water pressure could break the hose and cause water damage.
- Do not leave washing machines running when you go out.
- When you disconnect the dishwasher or washing machine, remember to cap off the water input and output hoses. Caps can be obtained from hardware stores.
- Capping the water inlet and output hoses is the tenant’s responsibility.
