Income and wealth limits
We check the applicant’s income and wealth because:
- We ensure that housing is allocated to those most in need of housing
- We promote affordable housing: we provide housing for those for whom rents in market-rate housing may be too high.
- We comply with the law and guidelines: income and wealth limits are based on legislation and ensure that we act fairly and transparently.
Our aim is to provide safe and comfortable homes for all. The review process is part of this work and helps us to maintain a sound tenant selection process.
