We’re finding out what our residents think about courtyards, how they’re used and the natural environment in them. We’re also interested in what you’d like to see in your own courtyard. Take the survey!

This online resident survey aims to find out how VAV residents use the courtyards of our buildings in their daily lives. We also want to know what is important to you about the courtyards and how biodiversity is realised there.

Furthermore, the survey provides an opportunity to share what kind of nature experiences our residents would like to have in their courtyard environments.

The survey forms part of a Master’s thesis in landscape architecture at Aalto University, commissioned by VAV. VAV’s aim is to recognise and promote biodiversity in courtyard areas. The responses received from residents will be used as background material for the courtyard plans developed as part of the master’s thesis. The aim is to ensure that promoting biodiversity in courtyards also fits in with our residents’ everyday lives.

We will be holding a prize draw for five sets of two movie tickets amongst all those who have responded and provided their contact details. The survey and entry into the prize draw are on separate forms. The deadline for responses is Tuesday 8 September.
