Minkkitie 9 is a block of flats in Metsola comprising a total of 47 rental flats. The flats are studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom flats. Everyday amenities are conveniently within walking distance, making life here hassle-free.
Residents have access to a free laundry room and drying room, a communal room, a storage room for outdoor equipment, and individual storage cupboards for each flat. The peaceful courtyard features a playground for children.
You can book your own sauna session in the block’s communal sauna via VAV’s customer service.
Water charge: €20 per person per month. The rent includes free internet access (further information: vav.fi/netti). Pets are welcome. Security deposit: €0. Income and asset limits. Renovations carried out: Wet rooms were renovated in 2026, the communal saunas in 2025 and the community room in 2024. The bathrooms will be renovated during 2026. Other: The flats have glazed balconies. There are lifts in blocks D and E.
Metsola as a residential area
Metsola is a pleasant residential area dominated by detached houses, situated in the north-east of Vantaa in the Korso sub-region. The area is characterised by its peaceful surroundings and proximity to nature. Metsola is situated close to the centre of Korso and offers a smooth daily life with good basic services nearby. The area is particularly well-suited to families and those who value green surroundings and spacious living.
Local services
Most of Metsola’s day-to-day services can be found in the nearby centre of Korso. There are nurseries and schools in the area and its vicinity. Korso town centre offers a wide range of grocery shops, a library, a health centre and a maternity and child health clinic.
Transport links
Metsola has excellent transport links to various parts of the Helsinki metropolitan area. The nearby Korso railway station offers fast train connections to Helsinki city centre. The train journey to Helsinki takes around 30 minutes. Bus routes complement the area’s public transport network, and travelling by car is easy via the Tuusulanväylä and Lahdenväylä motorways.
Outdoor activities and exercise
As its name suggests, Metsola is a wooded area where nature is always close at hand. The area offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities, and the nearby woods are full of places to pick berries and mushrooms. Metsolansuo, situated to the north of Metsola, is a wooded local recreation area that enhances the area’s appeal and outdoor opportunities. The outdoor trails extend naturally into the surrounding areas, and the Leppäkorpi fitness trail provides an ideal setting for jogging and keeping fit all year round. In winter, the trail is used as a cross-country ski track. Korpikontionpuisto Park and the Leppäkorpi outdoor swimming pool are also nearby, further enhancing the area’s sports and leisure opportunities, particularly in summer.
