VAV is a rental housing group founded in 1986 that enables a good and high-quality life in Vantaa.
We provide service around the clock, every day of the year.
All VAV houses include free internet access as part of the rent.
During 2026, Elisa will become the new provider of internet and cable TV services for VAV residents. The current provider is DNA. Check the switchover date for your building on this page. The list of buildings will be updated throughout the year.
The change of provider will take place on a building-by-building basis from March 2026 onwards. The switchover will continue until the end of 2026. The DNA broadband service currently included in the rent will cease to function as a result of these changes. Elisa will be responsible for the internet connection included in the rent from now on. Whilst the change of provider is underway, you should carefully consider whether to commit to fixed-term contracts for additional services.
To activate DNA Netti’s standard speed (25 Mbit/s) in your home, you’ll need to set up a subscription with DNA.
To set up Elisa’s standard speed (50 Mbit/s) in your home, you’ll need to take out a subscription with Elisa. Elisa offers several ways to order an internet connection:
You’ll need a ‘Cable Ready HD’ or ‘DVB-C’ labelled television or set-top box suitable for cable TV. Perform a channel scan, i.e. tune your television or set-top box to the cable TV channels. You’ll find instructions in your device’s user manual.
DNA and Elisa’s cable TV services offer a wide range of free-to-air channels as well as a diverse selection of pay-TV channels available to subscribe to separately.
If you wish, you can have a satellite dish installed on your balcony. However, this must be agreed with VAV. The aerial must be positioned on the inside of the balcony walls and any glazing, without causing damage to the building’s structure. Please contact VAV’s customer service.
In some of our houses, when changing providers, we have found that modems are in use which were launched around 10–12 years ago and for which software updates have ended or are about to end. Old cable modems cause connection problems and no longer meet current security and performance requirements.

To ensure that residents’ digital lives run as smoothly as possible, we recommend Elisa’s free digital lifestyle assessment. The assessment checks whether your current cable modem and other devices are compatible with your broadband connection and whether security updates are still available for them. The assessment costs €0 for residents and does not oblige you to make any purchases.
The purpose of the assessment is to prevent problems and ensure that your home internet connections are functional, secure and fit for future needs.
You can also speak to Elisa at upcoming residents’ events if you have any questions about device compatibility or know that your modem needs updating – modems are also available for purchase at these events. We aim to hold these events in stages, 3–4 weeks before the connections are activated, and details will be provided separately.
