Normannikuja 6 is a block of flats comprising a single building with four stairwells. The development comprises a total of 30 rental flats, which are one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom flats. Residents have access to a communal laundry room and drying room at the neighbourhood laundry facility at Normannipolku 3. The building has individual storage cupboards for each flat, a storage room for outdoor equipment, a pram storage area and a community room. There is a children’s playground in the building’s courtyard.

Hakunila as a residential area
Hakunila is a diverse and developing residential area in East Vantaa, known in particular for its proximity to nature and excellent opportunities for exercise. The area offers a practical everyday environment for both families and people living alone, and transport links to the capital region are excellent. Nissas, situated in northern Hakunila, is a peaceful and pleasant area consisting mainly of detached houses.
Local services
The Hakunila shopping centre houses grocery shops and other everyday services. The area has several nurseries, as well as primary and secondary schools. In addition, Hakunila is home to a social and health centre, a maternity and child health clinic and a chemist’s, all of which support a smooth daily life. The local library, youth centre and wide range of leisure activities offer something for people of all ages.
Transport links
Hakunila is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Hakunila has good connections to major roads, such as Lahdenväylä and Ring Road III. Extensive bus services ensure easy travel even without a car. The centre of Helsinki can be reached by public transport in around 30–40 minutes.
Outdoor activities and exercise
Hakunila Sports Park offers a wide range of sporting opportunities all year round. The area features floodlit jogging trails, an indoor swimming pool, a gym, a skate park and, in winter, cross-country skiing trails in the vicinity of the sports park. The nearby Lake Kuusijärvi is a popular destination for outdoor activities and recreation, where you can swim, enjoy the outdoors and relax in a lakeside smoke sauna.
The forests and parks in the Nissas and Suurhakunila areas also offer an excellent setting for outdoor activities and enjoying nature. The area boasts a wealth of outdoor trails and jogging paths that encourage people to get active.
