Tarhurintie 1 and 3 are blocks of flats situated on the edge of Tarhurinpuisto Park in Hiekkaharju. The buildings contain a total of 62 rental flats of various sizes, including studio flats, one-bedroom flats and two-bedroom flats. These low-rise blocks offer homes for both single people and families. The flats have glazed balconies. The kitchens in the flats are fitted with a connection for a dishwasher.
Residents have access to a free laundry room with a drying room, a community room, a storage room for outdoor equipment and individual storage spaces for each flat. There is a children’s playground in the courtyard.
You can book a private session in the communal sauna via VAV’s customer service.
Water charge: €20 per person per month. The rent includes free internet access (further information: vav.fi/netti) and cable TV. Pets are welcome. Security deposit: €0.

Hiekkaharju as a residential area
The nature-oriented Hiekkaharju residential area is situated in East Vantaa, north of Tikkurila. This family-friendly and pleasant neighbourhood encourages residents to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities and leisure pursuits.
Local amenities
The area offers basic amenities, whilst a wider range of services can be found, for example, in the centre of Tikkurila, just a few kilometres away. There is a school and several nurseries in the area.
Transport links
The area has excellent public transport links. From Hiekkaharju station, there are frequent train services to Helsinki city centre and elsewhere in the capital region. In addition, several bus routes run through the area, and the proximity to main roads ensures easy travel in many directions, even by car.
Outdoor activities and sport
Hiekkaharju offers a wide range of sporting opportunities. The area features excellent outdoor terrain, a sports field, outdoor fitness equipment, as well as a beach volleyball and tennis court. The Malminiitty disc golf course, Tikkurila Sports Park and the indoor swimming pool are also located nearby.
