We provide service around the clock, every day of the year.
Housing costs include rent and water charges. In some houses, you can also book a sauna session and a parking space for a fee.
Your housing costs include rent and water charges, which are paid monthly.
The rent is reviewed annually. You will be notified of any increase at least two months before the new rent takes effect.
You can check your rent payment status via the OmaVAV service. If you have any queries, you can also send a message via OmaVAV to the rent monitoring service or housing advice service.
In the majority of VAV’s rented homes, the water charge is determined by the number of residents. The water charge is shown on your rent bill. If the number of occupants in your home changes, please notify customer services.
If the water charge for your apartment is based on consumption, you will receive a separate water bill each month.
If you have booked a parking space or a sauna slot, the fee is paid at the same time as your rent. Charges begin at the start of the month following your booking. Our rent collection team will send you a new rent invoice.
You can enquire about available parking spaces or sauna slots in OmaVAV.

Rent is a priority bill that must be paid to ensure you can continue living in your home. If you do not pay your full rent by the due date (the 2nd of the month), we will send you a payment reminder. We will charge late payment interest and a reminder fee on any rent paid late.
In the worst-case scenario, rent arrears can lead to the termination of your tenancy agreement and eviction.
VAV works in partnership with the Vantaa and Kerava Welfare Area to ensure that customers can continue to live in their homes and pay their rent. You can also contact the social advice service of the Vantaa and Kerava Welfare Area yourself.
