    Kaivoksela as a residential area

    Kaivoksela has good transport links. The Hämeenlinnanväylä runs alongside the area and provides a smooth connection to Ring Road III. There are good bus services to both Helsinki and other parts of Vantaa. The nearest train station is in Myyrmäki, from where it takes around 15–20 minutes by train to reach Helsinki city centre.

    Kaivoksela offers good sports facilities and opportunities. Myyrmäki provides excellent leisure facilities, and the nearby Vetokannas recreation area features play areas and fitness facilities, as well as the popular Vetokannas lido.
