Mäyräkuja 4 is situated in Metsola, right next to the centre of Korso and the railway station. Affordable rental flats, which have been refurbished, were completed at the site in the summer of 2026. The building at Mäyräkuja 4 comprises a total of 70 rental flats: studio flats, one-bedroom flats and two-bedroom flats.
The diverse range of services, cultural offerings, nearby nature and good transport links in Korso, situated in north-east Vantaa, make the area a great place to live for people of all ages.
The courtyard complex consists of a refurbished six-storey block of flats and its four-storey loft wing. The peaceful VAV building at Mäyräkuja 6 is also situated within the same courtyard.
The flats are modern and decorated in light colours. Kitchen fittings include an induction hob, a fridge-freezer and a dishwasher. The floors are vinyl planks, and the bathrooms are tiled. A spacious, glazed balcony adds to the comfort. The balcony glazing will be completed by the end of summer 2026 at the latest. Some of the flats also have a walk-in wardrobe.
Residents have shared access to two refurbished sauna facilities, a communal lounge, a laundry room with a drying room, an outdoor equipment store and a pram storage area. The building also features individual storage rooms for each flat. Children can spend time in the sheltered playground within the grounds.
Sustainable and responsible construction is at the heart of VAV’s development activities. For example, this property features solar panels installed on the roof, which generate part of the property’s electricity. Individual water meters have been installed in the flats, allowing residents to influence the amount of their water bill themselves. The property’s roof has also been completely renovated. Water charges are based on consumption.

Metsola is a pleasant residential area dominated by detached houses, situated in the north-east of Vantaa in the Korso sub-district. The area is characterised by its peaceful surroundings and proximity to nature. Metsola is situated close to the centre of Korso and offers a smooth daily life with good basic services nearby. The area is particularly well-suited to families and those who appreciate green surroundings and spacious living.
Local services
Most of Metsola’s everyday services can be found in the nearby centre of Korso. There are nurseries and schools in the area and its vicinity. Korso town centre boasts a wide range of grocery shops, a library, a health centre and a maternity and child health clinic.
Transport links
Metsola has excellent transport links to various parts of the Helsinki metropolitan area. The nearby Korso railway station offers fast train connections to Helsinki city centre. The train journey to Helsinki takes around 30 minutes. Bus routes complement the area’s public transport network, and travelling by car is easy via the Tuusulanväylä and Lahdenväylä motorways.
Outdoor activities and exercise
As its name suggests, Metsola is a wooded area where nature is always close at hand. The area offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities, and the nearby woods are full of places to pick berries and mushrooms. Metsolansuo, situated to the north of Metsola, is a wooded local recreation area that enhances the area’s appeal and outdoor opportunities. The outdoor trails extend naturally into the surrounding areas, and the Leppäkorpi fitness trail provides an ideal setting for jogging and keeping fit all year round. In winter, the trail is used as a cross-country skiing track. Korpikontionpuisto Park and the Leppäkorpi outdoor swimming pool are also nearby, further enhancing the area’s sports and leisure opportunities, particularly in the summer.
