Merkkipuuntie 2 is a small block of flats in Kuninkaanmäki, comprising a total of 49 rental flats. The flats are studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom flats.
Residents have access to a free laundry room and drying room, flat-specific storage rooms for personal belongings, and storage rooms for outdoor equipment. There is a children’s playground in the building’s courtyard.
You can book a time slot for the communal sauna via VAV’s customer service.
Water charge: €20 per person per month.

Kuninkaanmäki as a residential area
Kuninkaanmäki is a peaceful residential area in East Vantaa, consisting mainly of detached houses, situated along the old Lahdentie road. Kuninkaanmäki is part of the Hakunila sub-region.
Local amenities
The local area features a nursery, a school and a supermarket. A wider range of services, such as supermarkets, restaurants and healthcare services, are located just a short distance away in Hakunila.
Transport links
Kuninkaanmäki has good bus connections to neighbouring areas, such as the services in Hakunila and Tikkurila. Tikkurila has excellent train connections to Helsinki, and the journey to Helsinki city centre takes around 30–45 minutes. Travelling by car is easy, and access to the Lahti motorway and Ring Road III is very convenient.
Outdoor activities and exercise
Kuninkaanmäki offers an excellent setting for outdoor activities and active leisure. The wooded walking trails and cycle paths in the vicinity of the area are ideal for jogging and cycling. The Kuusijärvi nature and recreation area, located around two kilometres away, offers opportunities for recreation all year round – swimming and hiking in the summer, and ice swimming and smoke saunas in the winter. There are also routes leading from Kuusijärvi to Sipoonkorpi National Park.
