Metsolantie 3 is a block of flats in Metsola comprising a total of 61 rental flats. The flats in the complex are one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom flats, all with saunas. Everyday amenities, such as supermarkets, the railway station, the health centre, the chemist’s and the nursery, are within walking distance.
Residents have access to storage rooms for personal belongings, outdoor equipment and prams. There is a children’s playground in the building’s courtyard.
Water charge: €20 per person per month. The rent includes free internet access (further information: vav.fi/netti). Pets are welcome. Security deposit: €0. Income and asset limits.
Other: Flats in Block A are located in a loft-style corridor, whilst those in Block B are in a block of flats. There is no lift in the building.
Metsola as a residential area
Metsola is a pleasant residential area dominated by detached houses, situated in the north-east of Vantaa in the Korso sub-region. The area is characterised by its peaceful surroundings and proximity to nature. Metsola is situated close to the centre of Korso and offers a smooth daily life with good local amenities nearby. The area is particularly well-suited to families and those who value green surroundings and spacious living.
Local services
Most of Metsola’s everyday services can be found in the nearby centre of Korso. There are nurseries and schools in the area and its vicinity. Korso town centre offers a wide range of grocery shops, a library, a health centre and a maternity and child health clinic.
Transport links
Metsola has good transport links to various parts of the Helsinki metropolitan area. The nearby Korso railway station offers fast train connections to Helsinki city centre. The train journey to Helsinki takes around 30 minutes. Bus routes complement the area’s public transport network, and travelling by car is easy via the Tuusulanväylä and Lahdenväylä roads.
Outdoor activities and exercise
As its name suggests, Metsola is a wooded area where nature is always close at hand. The area offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities, and the nearby forests are rich in areas for picking berries and mushrooms. Metsolansuo, situated to the north of Metsola, is a wooded local recreation area that enhances the area’s appeal and outdoor opportunities. The outdoor trails also extend naturally into the surrounding areas, and the Leppäkorpi fitness trail offers excellent facilities for jogging and keeping fit all year round. In winter, the trail is used as a cross-country ski track. Also nearby are Korpikontionpuisto Park and the Leppäkorpi outdoor swimming pool, which enhance the area’s sports and leisure opportunities, particularly in the summer.
