Pähkinärinteentie 22, 24 and 26 is a complex of three blocks of flats located in Pähkinärinne. The complex comprises a total of 81 rental flats of various sizes: studio flats, one-bedroom flats, two-bedroom flats and five-room flats.
Residents have access to a free laundry room and drying room, individual storage cupboards for each flat, a storage room for outdoor equipment and two communal rooms. There is a children’s playground in the shared courtyard area. You can book a slot in the block’s sauna via VAV’s customer service.
Water charge: €20 per person per month. The rent includes free internet access (further information: vav.fi/netti). Pets are welcome. Security deposit: €0. Income and asset limits. Renovations carried out: Bathrooms in 2026. Other: Parking spaces available; bookings via VAV customer service.
Hämeenkylä and Pähkinärinne as residential areas
Located in West Vantaa, Hämeenkylä is a peaceful and leafy residential area of detached houses situated at the junction of Ring Road III and Vihdintie, with several nurseries and schools in the vicinity. Pähkinärinne is a pleasant residential area situated to the south of Hämeenkylä, on the edge of Vihdintie.
Local amenities
There are grocery shops in the area. A wider range of services can be found in either the Myyrmäki or Varisto areas. There are also schools and nurseries in the area.
Transport links
Hämeenkylä has good transport links, whether by car or by bicycle. The area has a well-maintained network of cycle paths, enabling safe and enjoyable cycling. Public transport runs to Myyrmäki, amongst other places, from where there are easy train connections to both the airport and Helsinki city centre.
Outdoor activities and exercise
Hämeenkylä and Pähkinärinne are green, nature-rich areas offering excellent opportunities for outdoor activities and exercise in the countryside. Lammaslampi, situated in Pähkinärinne, is a pleasant local nature spot with a walking trail running around it. The area’s parks, as well as Pähkinärinne’s floodlit fitness trail and outdoor exercise area, complement the area’s diverse outdoor recreation opportunities.
The Petikko nature recreation area, situated about a 10-minute drive away, offers a wide range of outdoor trails all year round – for walking, running, cycling and, in winter, cross-country skiing.
