Affordable homes, refurbished by VAV, are due to be completed in Pähkinärinne in late 2026. The building is in a prime location, close to amenities and good transport links.
The building’s cosy one- and two-bedroom flats offer a home suited to a variety of life situations. There are 30 flats in total.
The flats are modern and decorated in light colours. All the surfaces in the flats have been refurbished. In addition, the kitchens and bathrooms have recently been renovated. The bathrooms are tiled. The windows are new and fitted with venetian blinds. A spacious balcony adds to the comfort.
Residents have shared access to a sauna area, a communal room, a laundry room with a drying room, an outdoor equipment store and a pram storage area. The building also has individual storage cupboards for each flat. Children can spend time in the sheltered playground within the grounds.
Parking spaces are available for residents to book. Pets are welcome in all our buildings. Our security deposit is €0. There are income and asset limits for the flats.
Hämeenkylä and Pähkinärinne as residential areas
Located in West Vantaa, Hämeenkylä is a peaceful and leafy residential area of detached houses situated at the junction of Ring Road III and Vihdintie, with several nurseries and schools in the vicinity. Pähkinärinne is a pleasant residential area situated to the south of Hämeenkylä, on the edge of Vihdintie.
Local amenities
There are grocery shops in the area. A wider range of services can be found in either the Myyrmäki or Varisto areas. There are also schools and nurseries in the area.
Transport links
Hämeenkylä has good transport links, whether by car or by bicycle. The area has a well-maintained network of cycle paths, enabling safe and enjoyable cycling. Public transport runs to Myyrmäki, amongst other places, from where there are easy train connections to both the airport and Helsinki city centre.
Outdoor activities and exercise
Hämeenkylä and Pähkinärinne are green, nature-rich areas offering excellent opportunities for outdoor activities and exercise in the countryside. Lammaslampi, situated in Pähkinärinne, is a pleasant local nature spot with a walking trail running around it. The area’s parks, along with Pähkinärinne’s floodlit fitness trail and outdoor exercise area, complement the area’s diverse outdoor activities.
The Petikko nature recreation area, situated about a 10-minute drive away, offers a wide range of outdoor trails all year round – for walking, running, cycling and, in winter, cross-country skiing.
