Retiisikuja 2 is a Swan-labelled apartment block in Hiekkaharju, completed in 2024. The development comprises a total of 62 rental flats of various sizes, including studio flats, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom flats.
The flats are modern and decorated in light colours. The floors are light-coloured oak laminate and the walls are crisp white. The kitchen units are a neutral grey. Kitchen fittings include a hob and a fridge-freezer. There is a space reserved for a dishwasher in the kitchen. The flats have glazed balconies. Some of the flats have a French balcony. The building has a lift.
Residents have free access to a laundry room, a communal lounge, an outdoor equipment store, a pram storage area and individual storage cupboards for each flat. There is a children’s playground in the building’s courtyard. The property is smoke-free. Hiekkaharju as a residential area
The nature-oriented Hiekkaharju residential area is situated in East Vantaa, north of Tikkurila. This family-friendly and pleasant area encourages residents to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities and leisure pursuits.
Local services
The area has basic services, but a wider range of services can be found, for example, in the centre of Tikkurila, a few kilometres away. There is a school and several nurseries in the area.
Transport links
The area has excellent public transport links. Hiekkaharju station offers convenient train connections to Helsinki city centre and elsewhere in the capital region. In addition, several bus routes run through the area, and the proximity to main roads ensures easy travel in many directions, even by car.
Outdoor activities and sport
Hiekkaharju offers a wide range of sporting opportunities. The area features excellent outdoor terrain, a sports field, outdoor fitness equipment, as well as a beach volleyball and tennis court. The Malminiitty disc golf course, Tikkurila Sports Park and the indoor swimming pool are also located nearby.
