Taoskuja 1 is a block of flats in Kuninkala comprising a total of 79 rental flats. The flats are studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom flats. In blocks L and M, the three- and four-room flats have their own private saunas. Residents have access to a free laundry room and drying room, private storage cupboards for each flat, a storage room for outdoor equipment, pram storage areas and a community room. There is a children’s playground in the courtyard.
You can book a slot for the communal sauna via VAV’s customer service.
Water charge: €20 per person per month.

Renovations carried out: The bathrooms were renovated in 2024–2025, and the windows and doors in 2026.
Other: Parking spaces in the courtyard; bookings via VAV customer service. There are no lifts in the building. There is an outdoor gym within walking distance.
Kuninkaala as a residential area
Kuninkaala is a neighbourhood in the Tikkurila sub-region of Vantaa, situated between the main railway line and Lahdenväylä. Kuninkaala is a peaceful area popular with families with children. The housing in the area consists mainly of detached houses.
Local amenities
Kuninkaala is situated about one kilometre from the comprehensive range of services available in Tikkurila. Tikkurila offers a wide variety of supermarkets, restaurants, healthcare services and gyms. Schools and nurseries are also nearby.
Transport links
There are good transport links from Kuninkaala to Tikkurila station, which offers excellent train connections to various parts of the Helsinki metropolitan area. The train journey to Helsinki city centre takes around 15–20 minutes. For those travelling by car, the location is convenient, and access to the Lahti motorway is nearby.
Outdoor activities and exercise
Heureka, an exciting science centre for the whole family, is located in Kuninkala. The area around the Kerava River and Väritehtaanranta offer a superb setting for exercise and enjoying nature. The pleasant paths running alongside the river are ideal for walking and cycling. Furthermore, the Tikkurila area offers a wide range of sporting facilities.
