Tykkikuja 9 is a block of flats in Länsimäki, comprising a total of 55 rental flats. The flats are studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom flats.
Residents have access to a free laundry and drying room, storage rooms for personal belongings, storage for outdoor equipment and pushchairs, and a community room in a separate building. There is a children’s playground in the courtyard. You can book a slot for the communal sauna through VAV’s customer service.
Water charge: €20 per person per month. The rent includes free internet access (further information: vav.fi/netti). Pets are welcome. Security deposit: €0. Income and asset limits.

Länsimäki as a residential area
Länsimäki is a peaceful and pleasant residential area in south-east Vantaa, within the Hakunila sub-region. The area consists mainly of low-rise blocks of flats, spaced out generously. The leafy surroundings and spacious courtyards make Länsimäki a pleasant place to live, particularly for those who appreciate being close to nature.
Local amenities
Länsimäki offers all the essential everyday services, such as a supermarket, a library and social and health services. The area also has a school and several nurseries. A wider range of services can be found, for example, in the Hakunila area and on the Helsinki side, where the Itis Shopping Centre offers a diverse range of shopping, dining and leisure facilities.
Transport links
Länsimäki has good transport links to various parts of the capital region. Bus routes run smoothly through the area, and the Mellunmäki metro station, situated on the Helsinki side, is nearby. From the metro station, you can reach Helsinki city centre in around 20–25 minutes.
Outdoor activities and exercise
Länsimäki offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities and exercise. The area has local sports fields and other sports facilities, for example for ball games. The nearby parks and outdoor trails offer opportunities for physical activity all year round, whether jogging, walking or cycling.
