Viikinkikuja 2 is a complex of four residential buildings located in Nissas, Hakunila, comprising flats, loft flats and terraced houses. The development comprises a total of 53 rental flats with saunas, ranging in size from one-bedroom to three-bedroom flats. The development is situated close to the Hakunila Sports Park.
Residents have access to a free laundry room and drying room, individual storage rooms for each flat, a storage area for outdoor equipment and prams, and a communal lounge. Every flat has its own sauna. There is a children’s playground in the housing estate’s courtyard. Water charge: €20 per person per month. The rent includes free internet access (further information: vav.fi/netti). Pets are welcome. Security deposit: €0. Income and asset limits. Renovations carried out: The kitchens were refurbished in 2026, the bathrooms were fully renovated in 2024–2025 and the block’s lift was replaced in 2023. Hakunila as a residential area
Hakunila is a diverse and developing residential area in East Vantaa, known in particular for its proximity to nature and excellent opportunities for exercise. The area offers a practical everyday environment for both families and single people, and transport links to the capital region are excellent. Nissas, situated in northern Hakunila, is a peaceful and pleasant area consisting mainly of detached houses.
Local services
The Hakunila shopping centre houses supermarkets and other everyday services. The area has several nurseries, as well as primary and secondary schools. Hakunila is also home to a social and health centre, a maternity and child health clinic and a chemist’s, all of which help to make everyday life run smoothly. The local library, youth centre and wide range of leisure activities offer something for people of all ages.
Transport links
Hakunila is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Hakunila has good connections to major roads, such as Lahdenväylä and Kehä III. Extensive bus services ensure easy travel even without a car. The centre of Helsinki can be reached by public transport in around 30–40 minutes.
Outdoor activities and exercise
Hakunila Sports Park offers a wide range of sporting opportunities all year round. The area features floodlit jogging trails, an indoor swimming pool, a gym, a skate park and, in winter, cross-country ski trails in the vicinity of the sports park. The nearby Lake Kuusijärvi is a popular destination for outdoor activities and recreation, where you can swim, enjoy the outdoors and take a sauna in the lakeside smoke sauna.
The forests and parks in the Nissas and Suurhakunila areas also offer an excellent setting for outdoor activities and enjoying nature. The area has plenty of outdoor trails and jogging tracks that encourage people to get active.
